Our travels first took us to the Hotel Bel-Air in the hills of Bel-Air, situated in a residential
area of Bel-Air (West Los Angeles). The hotel was a bit pricey for what we got though the hotel is a
great place to bring a lunch date and tour the gardens around the hotel. Then because of the type
of discounted airline tickets that we bought, we had to drive down to San Diego to catch a flight to
Honolulu, Hawaii. There was a change of planes ironically at LAX back where we started our drive.

In Hawaii, we stayed at the JW Marriott in Ihilani on the island of Oahu away from the Waikiki strip.
Part of the movie, Blue Crush, was filmed here. A great place to stay if you are on Oahu. Every hotel
that we stayed at had a complimentary bottle of champagne for our honeymoon which was
an interesting amenity.
