While petting the wallabies, one got on its
hind legs and began itching its chest top down which was a sight to see.
We then stayed at the Silky Oaks Lodge outside of Pt Douglas nestled on the edge
of the rainforest. The resort had a few
bikes that we could use and we rode around the sugar cane fields in the area.
The next day, we went scuba diving at
the Great Barrier Reef, the longest reef in the world. The boat ride was longer
than expected in cloudy, rainy weather.
Within 30 minutes of a 1 1/2 hour boat ride, people were getting seasick which
was not a sight to see. The boat rocked
a lot and fortunately we were not the ones to feed the fish. We both dove for the first 2 dives
and Amy decided to
hang out with the crew topside instead of doing the 3rd dive.
